چکیده
We consider dynamical systems on compact manifolds, which are local dif-feomorphisms outside an exceptional set (a compact submanifold). We are interested in analyzing the relation between the integrability (with respect to Lebesgue measure) of the first hyperbolic time map and the existence of positive frequency of hyperbolic times. We show that some (strong) integrability of the first hyperbolic time map implies positive frequency of hyperbolic times. We also present an example of a map with positive frequency of hyperbolic times at Lebesgue almost every point but whose first hyperbolic time map is not integrable with respect to the Lebesgue measure.

A growth estimate on the Fourier coefficients along geodesics for eigenfunctions of the Laplacian is given on compact hyperbolic manifolds. Along the way, a new summation formula is proved.

Let (Xi, di), i = 1, 2, be proper geodesic hyperbolic metric spaces. We give a general construction for a " hyperbolic product " X1× h X2 which is itself a proper geodesic hyperbolic metric space and examine its boundary at infinity.

We establish new relations which connect Euclidean sonar transforms (integrals taken over spheres with centers in a hyperplane) with classical Radon transforms. The relations, stated as operator identities, allow us to reduce the inversion of sonar transforms to classical Radon inversion.
